*Today* host Savannah Guthrie's mother, 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, is missing in Arizona.

According to the Pima County Sheriff's Department, Nancy was last seen on the evening of Saturday, Jan. 31 at her residence near East Skyline Drive and North Campbell Avenue. The department says it's unclear what clothing she may be wearing, but she is listed as 5'5" tall and 150 lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes.

"We can confirm this is a missing persons case, and the family is working closely with local law enforcement. If anyone has any information, please contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at 520-351-4900," a spokesperson for Savannah said in a statement to **. "The family is grateful for the outreach, thoughts, and prayers."

In a press conference on Sunday, Sheriff Chris Nanos with the PCSD confirmed search and rescue teams are currently looking for Nancy per local NBC station 12News. Hospitals in the area have been contacted as well, but none have reported seeing her.

Per the report, police said in the press conference that it is unknown if foul play is a factor in her disappearance, but Nanos said they are not ruling it out at this time, and as a result, homicide detectives are investigating at the scene as well.**

"I don't need to tell you, this is very concerning to us," Nanos said. "We don't typically get the sheriffs out at a scene like this."

Nancy is listed as a "vulnerable adult," and police are asking for the public's help locating her.

Savannah recently stepped away from the *Today* show for three weeks to recover from corrective surgery for vocal cord damage. She made her long-awaited return on Jan. 23, though she documented the process along the way, capturing herself crying on camera after hearing her new, post-op voice for the first time.

Guthrie also hosted a mini segment chronicling her health journey that included a montage of clips showing a decline in the quality of her on-air voice in recent months. Back in the studio once more, she said, "I'm so grateful to all of you at this place and my bosses at NBC, who have been nothing but supportive. To take three weeks off is a big, big deal. I'm so grateful to be back, and I'm ready to go."
