Megan Thee Stallion left the Broadway performance of Moulin Rouge! The Musical in which she was starring Tuesday night in New York City. The artist was then hospitalized.
"During Tuesday night's production, Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated," a spokesperson for Megan Thee Stallion told Entertainment Weekly. "We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.”

The music star joined the show last week playing nightclub owner Zidler — a role originated by Jim Broadbent in the 2001 Baz Luhrmann film starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor — and has performed her songs "Body" and "Savage."
Fans in attendance wrote that Megan Thee Stallion had performed in opening scenes, but noted that she'd then left as they were told to remain in their seats.
The artist's hairstylist, Kellon Deryck, asked for support for the Grammy winner.
"Everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital," Deryck wrote on X.

The artist was openly excited about the project when her role was announced.
"I've always believed in pushing myself creatively and theater is definitely a new opportunity that I'm excited to embrace," she said in a statement, per Variety. "Broadway demands a different level of discipline, preparation and storytelling, but I'm up for the challenge and can't wait for the Hotties to see a new side of me."
At the time, the show's producer, Carmen Pavlovic, noted that Megan is the first woman to take on the part.
"This historic casting is a major part of our closing celebrations: our farewell gift to Broadway audiences and one of our biggest announcements in the history of Moulin Rouge! The Musical," the producer said. "We want our show to go out with a spectacular bang, and Megan is the force of nature to lead us there. And yes, there will be a hint of music from her own iconic catalogue. It’s an unmissable moment for both Megan’s fans and ours."
She's scheduled to remain in the part through May 17.
While Megan Thee Stallion is new to Broadway, the "Cobra" rapper has turned up on screen in the past. In March, she appeared on an episode of Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliff's freshman, Tina Fey-produced comedy, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins. She appeared on TV's Good Girls in 2020 and, in 2023, voiced a character in animated series Big Mouth.
