Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon are parents to two sons, Dawson and Hayden

Dawson was born in 2022, and Hayden followed in 2024

The couple named their sons after movie characters, inspired by Titanic, Star Wars and Tom Cruise films

Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon are raising their two sons in the Ocean State.

The couple, who individually appeared on different seasons of The Bachelor and Bachelorette, first met in 2015 while filming season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise. They returned for season 3 the following year, where their tumultuous, often one-sided romance continued in front of the cameras. They ultimately confirmed their relationship in May 2018 and announced their engagement one month later in June.

Ashley and Jared married in August 2019 during a romantic ceremony in Rhode Island and went on to welcome two sons: Dawson in January 2022 and Hayden in July 2024.

Speaking to BachelorNation.com in May 2023, Ashley called being a mom “the most important job in the world.” The following month, she and Jared discussed their transition to parenthood during a joint interview with The Scoop.

“Every time I see Jared as a dad, I feel even more blessed that I am with him,” she said. “He's the perfect dad, but nothing about it surprises me. He's just a nurturer. You love him in a whole different way.”

Now, the couple are opening up about their family life on season 1 of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, which debuted in April 2026.

Here's everything to know about Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon's two kids, sons Dawson and Hayden.

In July 2021, Ashley and Jared announced that they were expecting their first child together during an Amazon Live stream.

"It's weird to say we're gonna be parents," Jared said during the live stream. "When does it sink in?"

The couple shared the news on Instagram the same day, with Ashley posting a photo of her in front of a toilet while Jared holds her hair.

“Baby Haibon is due Feb 10th! We're very excited for that day to come!" she wrote in the caption. "It's so cool to think I'm creating a human that's half me and half Jared! I won't lie though, pregnancy has not been a delight for me."

Although they were living in Rhode Island at the time, the pair decided to give birth in Virginia — Ashley's home state — at the hospital where her dad works as an anesthesiologist. On Jan. 31, 2022, the couple welcomed their son, Dawson Dimitri Brady Haibon, in Fairfax, Va. Jared shared the news that night with an Instagram video.

“Baby Dawson is here and healthy! Ashley is recovering and doing well! It really couldn't have gone much smoother,” he wrote in the caption. “He's so sweet & beautiful and has been sleeping all day. Unlike his Mom and Dad who are on no sleep right now but it's totally worth it!”

In an Instagram post of her own the following day, Ashley revealed the special meaning behind her son's birthday. “Dawson entered the world on a very important day in our family. January 31st is not only my mom's birthday, but also the day my parents met 44 years ago,” she wrote.

The couple had previously revealed their son's name and the meaning behind it during an Amazon Live, explaining that the moniker was inspired by Leonardo DiCaprio's Titanic character, Jack Dawson. As far as his middle name, they said Dimitri was simply a name they both liked.

The couple has been open about the ups and downs of becoming parents. “I had the worst pregnancy ever,” Ashley told The Scoop in June 2023, explaining that she experienced hyperemesis gravidarum — severe nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, per the Cleveland Clinic. “It was just the worst. I was on an IV for the first 16 weeks of my pregnancy.”

The Bachelor alums also spoke about their decision not to breastfeed their son. “I knew in my gut. Like my soul was telling me, in the months leading up to having Dawson, that formula feeding is going to be what's best for me. And what's best for me is what's best for the baby,” Ashley said.

For his part, Jared noted that he preferred using formula to get more father-son bonding time. “I wanted to make sure that I fed him as much as I possibly could,” he said.

Ashley also experienced "gender disappointment" with Dawson, writing on her Instagram Stories in March 2026 that she feels sad that "Jared doesn't get to be a girl dad because I think he'd be so wonderful at it."

Over the years, Ashley and Jared have shared a number of special milestones with Dawson, from an Aladdin-themed Halloween costume to opening presents on Christmas morning.

In January 2024, the couple announced that they were expecting baby No. 2, revealing the news in another Amazon Live.

Shortly after they made the announcement, Ashley exclusively told PEOPLE that she was "overwhelmed as hell" to be pregnant again.

“We want Dawson to have a sibling. That's very important,” Jared added. “I want that big family dynamic, but man, having so many kids is just so overwhelming. Even the idea of a second kid, it's no longer two-on-one where we can play defense against him. Now it's just one-on-one.”

The following month, the couple shared that they were having another boy.

Speaking to PEOPLE that May, Ashley confirmed that she and Jared were “definitely” done having kids after welcoming their younger son.

Ashley and Jared welcomed Hayden Cruise Haibon on July 22, 2024, in Fairfax, Va. “Baby is healthy and so is Mama! Seeing Dawson meet his little brother for the first time was as precious as we always imagined the moment would be. Dawson is full of love and kept petting Hayden,” the couple told PEOPLE exclusively.

Like his older brother, Hayden's moniker comes from the big screen. “We joked about naming him Anakin, as I'm a big Star Wars fan and Ashley fan girl-ed over Hayden Christensen as a teen. That sparked the idea for the name Hayden,” Jared explained.

The couple always knew his middle name would be Cruise due to their shared love of Tom Cruise.

“We've always loved the passion, determination, and charisma of his characters," they said. "We met the man himself last year at the Mission Impossible premiere and his warmth and caring reception for the stories we shared with him further convinced us to use the name.”

Like Dawson, Ashley chose not to breastfeed Hayden, telling PEOPLE in August 2024 the decision is "just for the sake of me thinking I am going to be the best version of myself for them by just not adding that extra pressure onto myself."
