Anne Hathaway bared her baby bump while wearing a frilly black top in Los Angeles on Monday.
The Oscar-winning actress previously referenced wild rumors alleging that her third pregnancy is fake.
Hathaway is expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman, which she announced amid box office success for The Devil Wears Prada 2.
The Odyssey star Anne Hathaway has gone on quite a perilous journey of her own — but, instead of doing battle with a cyclops, she’s showing off her baby bump amid internet trolls alleging that her third pregnancy is fake.
Months after the 43-year-old announced in June that she and her husband, Adam Shulman, are expecting their third child together, the Oscar winner stepped out in Los Angeles wearing a frilly, belly-baring shirt in an apparent response to critics speculating about her pregnancy.
Photos recently captured Hathaway smiling while walking outdoors near the Jimmy Kimmel Livestudio while wearing the top, which showed off her pregnancy under flowy black material. She’s also seen in the outfit during her Monday night appearance on the talk show, which is currently being guest-hosted by Anthony Anderson during Kimmel’s summer break.
Hathaway previously addressed the fake pregnancy rumors — which have bubbled up online in recent weeks — at Sunday’s premiere for her latest movie, The End of Oak Street.
Under a video from the event shared to Hathaway’s Instagram profile, the Devil Wears Prada 2 star captioned the post by writing, “Fake hair, real bump,” while the clip itself showed off her cropped blue gown that also highlighted her pregnancy.
The clip also shows Hathaway’s team prepping for the red carpet, with a brief moment also seeing Hathaway mouth, “It’s not my hair” to the camera.
Internet trolls have commented their opinions on Hathaway’s body in recent days, with one writing on TikTok, “I’m sorry but that looks fake,” one TikTok, while another noted, “That was my immediate reaction too.”
The clip also included a wardrobe mishap at the premiere, when what was described as a “chicken cutlet” nipple cover fell out from Hathaway’s outfit and landed on a nearby patch of grass.

Hathaway has spoken about her pregnancy over the summer in various interviews, including telling Access Hollywood: “There’s always hope until there’s not, but when you get to a certain age, that hope looks like 1 percent to 2 percent,” and that, “we just decided to see where life took us, with a very, very healthy, realistic expectation, which was very low.””
Outside of her exciting personal news, Hathaway is in the middle of one of the most prolific calendar-year stretches for any actor in modern history.

In addition to earning critical praise for her turn in the lesser-seen thriller Mother Mary, Hathaway fronted the highly anticipated Devil Wears Prada 2 in May, and appeared in The Odyssey two months later. While the films went on to gross $692 million globally and $1.1 billion (and counting), respectively, Hathaway’s monumental year isn’t over yet. The J.J. Abrams-produced blockbuster The End of Oak Street is also expected to perform well at the box office in the weeks ahead, before Hathaway returns to the big screen in October at the center of a popular Colleen Hoover novel adaptation, Verity.
She’s also widely predicted to receive her third career Oscar nomination for her supporting performance in The Odyssey, which would mark Hathaway’s first Academy Award nod since her 2013 win for Les Misérables.

In April, Hathaway told Entertainment Weekly that she’s eyeing a third Princess Diaries movie as one of her next projects.
“One hundred percent, we’re constantly working on it,” Hathaway told EW at the time. “[Devil Wears Prada 2] cropped up unexpectedly and took over the space,” she continued, explaining that, while filming the second film through the summer of 2025, “it became impossible to focus on both at the same time.”
