Many General Hospital fans may not be aware that numerous GH actors were once on One Life to Live. Some had short-term roles and others were on there for years. Here are nine GH stars who were also on OLTL.
Amanda Setton

Newer GH fans may not be aware that Brook Lynn's portrayer, Amanda Setton, was once on OLTL for a brief time. From 2009 to 2010 and again in 2011, Setton played Kimberly Andrews, a Las Vegas exotic dancer who arrived in Llanview, PA (the fictional setting of OLTL) ready to cause trouble. Kimberly was a schemer, like GH's Brook Lynn used to be.
Kimberly manipulated her way into a marriage with rich man Clint Buchanan (Jerry verDorn). Alas, the bride and groom did not live happily ever after, as soap marriages that are fueled by greed rarely do!
Lisa LoCicero

Before GH's Olivia Falconeri appeared in Port Charles, her portrayer, Lisa LoCicero, was on OLTL in a brief but memorable role. In 2004, she played Sonia Toledo, a young woman who had an affair with her adoptive brother, Antonio Vega (Kamar de los Reyes). That sounds just a little too close for comfort for us! Then again, it's nothing we haven't seen before on other soaps.
We can only imagine how GH's Tracy (Jane Elliot) would react to that, especially after Drew's (Cameron Mathison) scandalous affair and subsequent marriage to his nephew Michael's (Rory Gibson) wife, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Holy moly!
Chris McKenna

Chris McKenna played Viki Lord's son, Joey, on OLTL | Image: ABC
Long before Chris McKenna joined GH as WSB agent Jack Brennan, he played teenager Joey Buchanan from 1990 to 1993. Longtime OLTL fans fondly remember him as the son of Viki Lord (played by legendary soap actress, Erika Slezak).
As most GH fans know, Slezak was recently on GH herself. Her character, Veronica Bard (sister to Monica, played by Leslie Charleson), shared an inside joke with McKenna at Bobbie's Diner that alluded to their past OLTL connection.
OLTL fans might be interested to know that seven different actors portrayed Joey throughout the series' run. That means McKenna played a soap character with one of the most recasts not only on OLTL, but likely in all of soap history.
Josh Kelly

Josh Kelly played a scoundrel named Cutter in One Life to Live | Image: YouTube
Coincidentally, Josh Kelly's OLTL character, Cutter Wentworth, was the brother of Amanda Setton's character, Kimberly. The two siblings were separated from each other as children after their mother abandoned them and their father committed suicide. Cutter and Kimberly found each other again as adults. From there on out, they became involved in thefts, schemes, blackmailings — you name it. They were con artists, which is how Kelly's GH character, Cody, started out when he first arrived in Port Charles.
So, Setton and Kelly went from playing siblings on OLTL to friends on GH. Furthermore, GH's Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), is Cody's close friend and the father of Brook Lynn's son, Gio (Giovanni Mazza).
Kelly was only on OLTL from 2010 to 2011 and again in 2013, but that brief time was long enough for him to make his mark in the soap world before he began his run on GH.

Kristen Alderson

Kristen Alderson played Blair and Todd's daughter, Starr, on One Life to Live | Image: YouTube
No OLTL fan will ever forget Kristen Alderson's portrayal of Starr Manning, the daughter of supercouple Todd Manning (Roger Howarth) and Blair Cramer (Kassie DePaiva). While Starr was a young child and teen the show, she moved to GH's Port Charles as an adult in 2012 and became romantically involved with Michael (then Chad Duell). Their romance ended in 2013, at which time Aldersen created a different GH character, Kiki Jerome (daughter of Maura West's Ava).
Kiki became caught in a love triangle between Michael and Morgan (Bryan Craig), and that's when things got very complicated. In 2015, the role of Kiki was recast. Hayley Erin played the new Kiki until she was unfortunately killed by Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) in 2018. Many GH fans still miss Kiki and wish she could somehow be brought back from the dead. Ava would love to have a second chance with her older daughter, and Avery would have her big sister in her life. How about it, GH writers? We know we saw Kiki's body, but anything can happen on a soap.
Roger Howarth

Roger Howarth's Todd Manning seemed very much like OLTL's version of Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary). Both men had dark, brooding, and rebellious personalities. Both were long-standing, iconic soap characters. Todd even showed up in Port Charles for a bit, but most GH fans remember Howarth in the role of reformed serial killer Franco Baldwin, whose murderous tendencies were ultimately caused by a brain tumor.
Once the tumor was removed, he lived a blissful life with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and became a good stepfather to her sons. Unfortunately, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) killed him, which turned Liz's world upside down. Some of us would like to see Franco return somehow, although it likely won't happen since Howarth is now playing another reformed villain named Matt Clark on The Young and the Restless.
Michael Easton

When Finn lost Gregory on General Hospital, we were heartbroken | Image: YouTube
Before Michael Easton was ever Dr. Hamilton Finn on GH, he played Detective John McBain on OLTL, from 2003 to 2012. McBain was in a long-term romance with Natalie Buchanan (Melissa Archer), and when McBain eventually crossed over to GH, he had a brief romance with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).
From 2013 to 2015, GH shifted gears, and Easton played Silas Clay. Yes, you've got it, folks — the father of crazy twin sisters Nelle (Chloe Lanier) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Like McBain, Silas also became romantically involved with Sam.
GH shifted gears once again, and from 2016 to 2024, Easton played Finn, the doctor who struggled with drug addiction and alcoholism. Who could ever forget his heartfelt portrayal of a grieving son after he lost his father, Gregory (Gregory Harrison), to ALS?
Jacklyn Zeman

Jacklyn Zeman played a brief role on One Life to Live | Image: YouTube
Many GH fans might be surprised to learn that Jacklyn Zeman, GH's beloved nurse Bobbie Spencer, once appeared on OLTL from 1976 to 1977. Coincidentally, Zeman played a nurse on there as well (at Llanview Hospital). And here's another coincidence: her character, Lana, played a waitress in a diner, just as Bobbie worked in what was originally called Kelly's Diner on GH — and later was named after Bobbie herself after her death.
The year after Zeman left OLTL, she began her 45-year-long run on GH. Fans will never forget her "hooker with a heart of gold" character and her determination to make a better life for herself as a nurse. Her relationship with her daughter, Carly (Laura Wright), started off bitter and stormy. But over the years, Bobbie and Carly grew to become one of the closest mother/daughter pairings in the history of GH.
It is well worth noting that another GH star, John Beradino, also briefly appeared on OLTL. Beradino played Dr. Steve Hardy from the very first episode of GH in 1963 to 1996, and he made a crossover appearance on OLTL in 1968, where he played Dr. Hardy, as well. For all the newer GH fans out there who may not know this, he was Elizabeth's grandfather!
